Can new folders be created in the 'root directory' or must they reside either within an account or a local folder?

Setting up a mailfence alias using the identity capability. Currently have two folders; me@mailfence.com and local as the initial configuration. Would like to create an equivalent directory structure myalias@ mailfence.com with subdirectories draft, sent, junk, etc. resides outside of both me@mailfence.com and local.

Looking for a native TB approach (if it exists),

You can create folders within the account, but the alias emails would need filtering to automatically be filed there.

Understand that the address, sent, junk, etc would all require individual setup/filter to map into the 'identity' alias.

What I am struggling with is creating the folder myalias@ mailfence.com with all the typical matching subfolders outside of the main me@mailfence.com folder/directory.

In PC terms, establishing the folder myalias@ mailfence.com in the 'root' or C:/ directory.

Is this possible and if so how to create the myalias@ mailfence.com in the root. I believe that I have found most of the filter/mapping directions in various posts in the help community. THANKS

Options: I Would try this first to see if you are allowed to set up as a completely separate account. Create a new mail account for the new myalias@ mailfence.com email address. Menu icon > New > Existing Mail account.

Alternative: Add a new identity to the current me@mailfence.com account via > Account Settings for the me@mailfence.com account click on 'Manage Identities' Add new identity for myalias@ mailfence.com But set up all the 'Copies & Folders' to use 'Local Folders'

then create a Message Filter in original me@mailfence.com mail account If TO, Cc or Bcc = myalias@ mailfence.com Perform action - Move Message to and choose 'Inbox on Local Folders'

This will then in effect use the 'Local Folders' as the myalias@ mailfence.com account. If desired in Account Settings > Local Folders You could alter the 'Account Name' of the Local Folders ' account But I would keep some reference to 'Local Folder' eg: 'Local Folder -myalias' Because it will remind you that it is not a specific mail account.
