Defined and used Tags in Thunderbird 31.2. Upgraded Thunderbird to 45.1.1 and can't tag messages anymore (no tags in pull-down menu, even though I can still see them in: Tag - Manage Tags).

Working fine for me here in 45.1.1 and 45.2.

Have you tried in Safe Mode to see if you have an add-on that's breaking them?

Thanks! Yes, it works in the Safe Mode. The "Exchange EWS Provider" add-on causes the issue. I need that add-on, so need to figure out how to make it work. Thanks again.

Hello _ Thunderbird chrome.manifest corrupted?

I have posted this message twice to only have it disappear - just like my issue.

When I color tag a message in inbox , it disappears when I close and reopen the message window.

I have tried the Safe Mode.check add-ons approach and that did't work. (Only had the calendar Lightening one which I deleted (and caused a whole new set of issues in mozilla proper).

I upgraded to 45.2. Didn’t help.

When the color appeared today so a brief flash, I checked my error messages Saw these messages: Could not read chrome manifest 'file:///Applications/Thunderbird.app/Contents/Resources/chrome.manifest'.

And: Could not read chrome manifest 'jar:file:///Applications/Thunderbird.app/Contents/Resources/extensions/%7B972ce4c6-7e08-4474-a285-3208198ce6fd%7D.xpi!/chrome.manifest'.

T'his started in 45.1.1 Now using 45.2, issue remains.

My OS is 10.10.5 Yosemite
