Firefox allows certain sites but not others(proxy server refusal)
Gmail is allowable but Yahoo is not. This is the message that pops up:
The proxy server is refusing connections
Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.
Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct. Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working.

You can find the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.
