I tried the solution as stated in the article. After hitting reset and quitting firefox, restarted, with no luck at all. Still can not print from web pages as bing maps, bank statements, etc. Thank you for your insight. Any further suggestions would be appreciated, since this has been going on like this for some time.

Please give more detail on what happens when you try to print. I'm not clear on how it is failing, and details would help.

When I try to print from my bank acct, web page etc. the printer dialog comes up for for HP printer but after I hit print nothing at all happens. Sometimes it goes into the printer as a hold. When I tell it to resume printing it disappears and nothing prints as it had nothing to print. But my information works fine when using Safari.

I found one more Support document with a few other things to try:

Also, just as a last resort, you might try deleting and then re-adding the printer.

1. Did the about:config (did not work) 2. Deleted printer and re-entered printer (did not work) 3. Looked at all the suggestions on the web page suggested / Everything is set because items print as a PDF's/ Safari items / Printer screen shots etc. all prints.

Thanks for your help - I'm still not sure how to solve it except to use Safari. Anything else you can come up would be welcomed.

Well I am not a printer expert, so this is a challenge! I dug some more and found 2 things:

1. You might try running the HP diagnostic tool [although I can totally see why you'd think it was FF, since Safari works fine]

1. Others have had luck installing this printer add-on: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/print-edit/

HP diagnostic tool only for windows not Mac. Tried Print edit download does not work as I need it to. Cuts to much of the page off or nothing at all. Thanks for the sugestions

If you haven't already done this, try resetting all the print preferences for your printer in about:config, as suggested here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Problems_printing_web_pages#Reset_printer

If that doesn't help, I found this topic at MozillaZine you can check, to see if creating a new Firefox profile (see Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles) or if any of the other suggestions work for you:

well dude i am expert in this what is your printer model and manufacture

+ when you buy it and which version of your driver you using because the print preference cant have a error if u can print in safari but cant in mozilla a printer have same settings on different types

may the prop is your printer or your driver is not complicated with so of the software not only firefox there may more where you u got same prop in further and check that and cotages or caridege are refilled and printer not in error mode or in list it have some prints with error well i like to see a page you print on safari and mozilla and if you cant show give me details of it happy to help :D
