I have Amazon Prime and I was able to stream videos without any problem. Now it tells me my device doesn't meet "content protection standards". I haven't changed anything (hardware, software) except Firefox updated. Is there a setting I need to change to fix this?

hello, in case amazon uses a special plugin to perform this DRM-check, please try this: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named plugins.load_appdir_plugins. double-click it and change its value to true (a restart of the browser might be necessary afterwards for the change to take effect).

some background on the issue is explained in http://www.ghacks.net/2013/05/15/why-you-may-have-lost-access-to-plugins-or-extensions-in-firefox-21/

You may need to update the Flash player (Shockwave Flash 10.3 r183) if this plugin used.

You can find the latest Flash player versions for Firefox on this page.

I already had the latest version. Switched back to v10.3 and now back to 11.7. Rebooted and neither one worked. I feel it's either Flash Player or Firefox.

Tried this too and it was already set to true. Set it to false and back to true, rebooted and neither worked. Found somewhere it could be a bad file in Flash Player, but after I changed to an earlier version I still had the same problem.
