Hi, why Firefox did automatic update from ESR 52 to 60 with disabled upgrades? Why you don't let users choose if upgrade or not? I use Firefox to open the EMC VNX Unisphere console and now it won't work. Should I disinstall Firefox and move to another custom browser?

Regards

Hi Roger68, your options for sites that require the Java plugin are either:

(A) Use Internet Explorer 11

(B) Use a "portable" version of Firefox 52 just for that site (it operates out of a folder and doesn't touch your regular browser data):

https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox-portable-legacy-52

You might want to ask that of the java site themselves why that is.

No need to ask Oracle when they mention why in https://java.com/en/download/help/firefox_java.xml

Firefox 52.0 and later Releases have only allowed Flash Player Plugin to run. The Legacy Firefox 52 ESR allowed other NPAPI Plugins to run though on Windows you needed the 32-bit version.
