Firefox doesn't remember the size of the window
Hi! I'm using Firefox on my Mac. Last update. My problem is simple: when I close Firefox, it doesn't remember the last size of the window. So, for example, I normally use it on the full dimension of the screen (but not in full size: I'll post a picture to explain, because I'm not good with words hahah). Instead, when I relaunch it, it opens like in small size (I'll post a picture of that, too). Is there something that I can do? Thx.

Here are the two screenshots. One shows how Firefox opens up. The other how I normally use it.
Hello danilo.derosa.dd,
Would you try this please :
Type in the address bar about:config and press Enter (promise to be careful, if asked)
Type in the search bar and look for the preference :
privacy.resistFingerprinting and make sure its value is set to false
If you had to change the value, then close and restart Firefox.

Does it make a difference for you too ?

It worked! Thanks a lot :D
Hi, Firefox doesn't retain the window size when it fills the entire screen. Narrow lane space is lost over dock after reopen Firefox. What is the solution to this? Thanks! Krisztian

Is there a way to keep "privacy.resistFingerprinting" as true but change another config setting? Basically, I'd prefer to keep other anti-fingerprinting settings in place except for this window resizing. Thanks!

Hello dontkillmyvibe,
As your question is different from the topic of this (older) thread, it might be best to start a new thread and post your question, using this link :

This did not solve the problem for me.
None of the other instructions listed on this board has solved the problem for me.
Apps approved by Mozilla have not solved this problem for me.
How hard can it be to code in instructions for user-specified location and size to open window to, every time the program is invoked?

Hi JSDibelka
So you aren't using "Resist Fingerprinting" ?
You can try to rename/remove xulstore.json in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
- Help -> Troubleshooting Information -> Profile Folder/Directory:
Windows: Open Folder; Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Profiles
That is correct. I have gone into about:config and made all recommended changes to no effect. I chose Firefox for many of its features, including a certain degree of privacy and agility but I am not a programmer and am not interested in having to rewrite or change register values for programs I use. I guess Firefox is just not the browser for me. I wish I could find one that is. Thank you for your time.
