Restoring deleted trash folder
I accidentally deleted my Thunderbird trash folder while deleting messages. How do I restore the folder (or subscribe)?

Have you tried recreating the account folder when thunderbird is not running? Trash and Trash.msf, two entries in the account settings within the profile. And then selecting 'copies&folders' to reestablish the trash folder after restarting thunderbird.
