IS there a way to save current Tabs and Groups so that they can be reloaded at anytime ?

My Firefox crashes sometimes, and when I start it up again, my groups and tabs that I had are lost, so I have to recreate them from my History window. IS there a way I can Save the groups I have with the tabs inside so that I can retrieve them at some later date. I figure that Firefox does save them each time I close the Browser, so I'm gussing there is a file somewhere that contains this information, if I know what this file is called I could back it up on my regular schedule and retrieve it if I needed to, of course the best alternative would be to have a 'Save Groups" & 'Load Groups' Menu option.
