onload error TypeError: TcFfUpdates.getTcPluginsInstance().getNewExtensionsList is not a function is the error i get when i start how can i fix this

when i click on the icon to start ff i get this message onload error TypeError: TcFfUpdates.getTcPluginsInstance().getNewExtensionsList is not a function i then click ok and firefox loads but is insanely slow and often pops up with this error
