Occasionally web pages or parts of web pages fail to load the first time [NO ERROR MESSAGE] (Linux Mint 17.2 / Ubuntu 2015-12-02)
Sometimes when loading a new page or refreshing one that's open, the page fails to load or some parts of it (especially flash or javascript) fail to load with the page.
The most common ways for me to recreate this is attempting to open youtube links or when I search via DuckDuckGo redirecting to google ex. !g "searchterm" from the URL bar.
Sometimes I may have to refresh a page more than once in order to get it to finally load, but it does eventually load.
There is no error message or warning whatsoever, the pages simply never completely load and the "loading" animation in the tab displays indefinitely.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.
- Clear the Cache and
- Remove Cookies
Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to.
Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar.
- Cookies; Select Privacy. Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings. Press the button on the right side called Show Cookies. Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove All of them.
- Cache; Select Advanced > Network. Across from Cached Web Content, Press Clear Now.
If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;
Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.
Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart.
I'm afraid none of this helps.
And I know it has nothing to do with the cache or cookies, as this has been happening since I started using Firefox and before any cookies had been in use.
Disabling hardware acceleration doesn't help (with this problem in particular) either.
I've called the big guys to help you. Good luck.

For what it's worth, it only happens on that particular machine/OS. My other laptop running a slightly older version of Linux Mint and the same version of Firefox doesn't have that problem.
You can check the log in the Web Console for error messages and the Network Monitor (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer) to see if content fails to load or is possibly blocked.
Use Ctrl+F5 or Ctrl+Shift+R to reload the page and bypass the cache to generate a fresh log.
