My OS is Linux. I do online schooling, and since the automatic upgrade to FF5, I am not able to access my classroom. I contacted tech support for my school, and was advised that it may take up to 30 days for their system to upgrade to compatibility with FF5. They advised me to uninstall FF5 and go back to FF4. I need instructions on how I do that for Linux. Thank you.

I can give you a link for version 3.6.18 (the latest prior to 4)

Scroll down to locate the language choice then choose the download for your OS. [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html]

Thank you for your response.

Will I loose my bookmarks, settings, and plug-ins if I do this?

I have upgraded to various versions of Firefox without losing my bookmarks.

It is always a good idea to keep a backup of your bookmarks just in case of any event that would cause them to be lost. So if you do not currently have an up to date external backup (ie: not on the computer) of your important files, folders and bookmarks then I suggest you create one.

I only lost my bookmarks when my old computer died suddenly and I had not got an external backup of them.

Thank you again for your response.

I do have back ups of my bookmarks, files and folders. I just want to make sure that I won't have any problems going backwards. I am using Linux, and the upgraded Ubuntu 11.04, so I am a little hesitant about doing things unless I absolutely know what to expect. I need my computer, and I cannot afford to have any issues right now.
