Hello,

I was just wondering is there any cloud save for the bookmarks or is it in any way possible to recover bookmarks after an HDD's been formatted. I was reinstalling windows and, like always, something went wrong with my HDD and I had to fully format all of my partitions inculding the one where I had everything backed up and saved so I basically lost everything.

Best regards,

Black.

There is no "automatic save" to any "cloud" service. So unless you made a backup to external media the formatting of your hard drive wiped all your data. including your Firefox bookmarks.

There is the Firefox Sync service which has a "cloud type" server, but it is intended to be used to synchronize Firefox user data across multiple devices, not backup up a solitary device. But if the user is careful it has been known to work as a backup medium. although using it in that manner is not recommended.

Usually when re-installing Windows, either as an upgrade or as a repair of the existing operating system, there is an option to create an "old" directory of the existing "roaming data" folderset. But with a cleanly formatted drive Windows doesn't offer that option.

So, I guess your data is gone.
