I have just upgraded to 41.1.1 Thunderbird, and I can no longer see any emails in my sent folder. I had a large number of emails prior to upgrade but not a single email is visible.

Hi, I did the above and get a new Inbox and Trash box. However, when I send a message no 'Sent' folder shows up.

I do not know where the sent message goes. Attached please find a screenshot.

I closed Thunderbird and started it again, and issue remains the same.

At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button > Options > Account Settings > Copies & Folders.

Check your settings, particularly for the Sent folder. Make sure to select the Sent folder and your account, not underneath Local folders.

DITTO-I have the SAME issue....no emails I send are saving to the sent folder. Version 45.2.0. All of my settings are correct....I've checked. This issue started for me randomly 08/12/2016. Sent emails were saving correctly before. Thunderbird is FULL of bugs like this that start for no reason.

Comment above says that having a large number of emails can cause problems?? Then Thunderbird is not for me. Other email programs don't start having glitches because of the number of emails. (???)

I'm uninstalling and re-installing. If this doesn't correct it, I'm looking for a DIFFERENT email program. Thunderbird needs to correct all these bugs.
