The old hard drive does not run Windows, therefore, the usual file access through Firefox or Windows Explorer has not worked for me. The old hard drive is now a slave drive and all file are intact and accessible through the new Windows 7 64 bit OS.

Do you have Windows set to show hidden files and folder? If not, please do that first. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files#show-hidden-files=windows-7

Next, what version of Windows did you have on the old drive? Your profile folder should be on the applicable path:

Windows XP and earlier:

\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Windows Vista and later:

\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

If you find multiple profile folders, check the most recent first. Look for a subfolder named bookmarkbackups. This article describes how to restore the .json files you find there: Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer.

Any luck?

Please note: when you restore a .json file, any bookmarks in the Firefox you are restoring into are lost. If you have added some bookmarks you want to save, you need to add two steps:

(1) Before doing the restore, export your current bookmarks. This creates an HTML format file, not a JSON file. This article has the steps: Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks.

(2) After doing the restore, import that HTML file. This article has the steps: Import Bookmarks from an HTML file. Then you can delete any unwanted duplicates.

Thank you for solving this. I was, however, able to quickly find the files without having to look in the hidden files. Now I need to find my passwords.
