Firefox is creating very high CPU use with many WebThumbnailExtension Web Connect processes. The processes disappear after shutting down Firefox and other programs that access the internet. Does anyone have an answer on how to prevent this from happening?

I use a website in the UK alljigsawpuzzles.com The page loads fine and freezes with the firefox browser. Other browsers work fine. I have been unable to determine if a setting is the problem. I use https only. When I removed this setting, it allowed me to scroll for a few seconds and then froze again. Do you know what the problem is? It's true they recently upgraded their website. Is there a setting I need to change? Thanks! All updates are up to date.

I would really appreciate some direction as I am not the fastest gazelle on the serengeti. I have Firefox setup as my home page on both my laptop and my desktop. My laptop, the bottom image, is just what I want but my desktop is not. There are 8 icons in the middle of the page and I would like to turnoff the automatic update for these icons and insert my preferred links there instead but I just cannot figure it out. And, as in the bottom image below, I cannot get the (+) sign to reappear for editing purposes.

There is an image of the current icons below.

Current version of Firefox from 2025, when I save as the screen is maximized without the conventional restore maximize icons in the top right corner of the window the way it's been for the last thousand years or since Windows 95. I found an old post that solved the problem which is, right click on the top menu and you'll see a drop-down restore move size maximize close. Well that's great but that is a Firefox concoction that is not standard practice. Fine to keep it but can you please also add the normal icons that we've all been used to since the beginning of the computer era? Thank you

On my new Scorptec rtx A2000 workstation installed Firefox and Thunderbird and for 2days everything was fine apart from the annoying notice that came up every time I opened Firefox as me to make it the default browser ,which i turned off. however about the next day another window appeared in upper right corner of the screen that looked very authentic with the Firefox Logo and screen colors which stated that I had not yet fully activate all options in Firefox. on opening it there were 4 options to tick off .

First was making it default browser which ticked

Then there were 3 highly recommended extensions with reviews of each and a quoted number of users that highly recommended them second was enabling an Anti Key stroke Logger app which I ticked third I think gave them full access to PC which I ignored Last i cant remember but I ticked as it looked harmless. Within an hour the Firefox screen turned white and was activated by

quick-hp.com//?path=firefox/  then more info etc.

Just incase the have installed a key logger etc have decided on full removal and reinstall of win11 etc Be Warned

path=firefox/.........etc...etc

I run Thunderbird on my HP Windows 11 laptop. Occasionally certain Inbox email messages seem to disappear. Just the other day I purchased a Microsoft Office 2019 package. I received a confirmation email from Groupon and a email from the software provider Tomslicense. Both seemed to be gone from my Inbox today. Luckily I also run The Thunderbird app on my Samsung A15 smartphone. I was able to locate the missing emails on the phone and forward them back to myself. So what exactly is happening here? Could these emails be masked or hidden somehow by Thunderbird? Any ideas? Thanks

I've been a Firefox user for at least 10 years. I recently installed Firefox on a new desktop PC, and the Firefox Privacy Notice tab popped up. "No worries," I thought, and read it and made my cookies choice. I didn't find anything about a separate "submit" or "Close" gadget, so I simply closed the tab. Now, every time I leave the Home page or open a new tab, the Firefox Privacy Notice keeps popping up. Please advise me how to close it for good.
