When i right click then i see a huge list of options i never had before, and open in next tab, copy and paste are no longer working. Added a screenshot of half the list of options i see when right clicking. It includes copy and mut and full screen options for video that i never had before.

I changed the settings on an email account in Thunderbird to imap from pop3 as well as with a different host. Now everything is gone.

Is there any way to get them back? :(

Use to be when I clicked a mailto: href my local Thunderbird would start with a new message in compose mode.

Sigh... Then I let one of my kids "send a quick message".

They have a Yahoo account, so now my machine is infected where mailto: href clicks land on login.yahoo.com rather than Thunderbird compose message.

Someone let me know how to get rid of the Yahoo login + return to starting Thunderbird.

I just updated Firefox to version 135.0 on my mobile and now I get this really annoying thing:

Everytime I open a tab to go on the YouTube website, it asks me if I want to leave Firefox and use the YouTube app. Every single time. And it even launched it once without asking me.

I don't want to use the YouTube app, how can I make this stop?

Thunderbird Problem: For many years I have been using the Thunderbird mail client currently in ver. 128.7.0esr (32 bit) on S.O. Windows 10 Home Update 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5487), 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. I have a couple of mail accounts, one of mine and one of my wife. My problem is that for a few days now (about 5 or 6 days) on the InBox folder of my account, only mine, I have not been able to compact the folder. When I try to compact it, the response message is always the following: <The Inbox folder on "my_account_name@gmail.com" cannot be compacted because it is not possible to write to it. Verify that you have enough disk space and have write privileges, then try again> On my disk the available space is 121 Gb on C: where the program with the InBox folders resides and 266 Gb where the data stored in custom folders resides. The write privileges are always the same, never changed, of Administrator. I have already tried the path of "repairing the folder" and re-indexing the folder, but without success. Please how do I stop these floating windows above the tabs in Firefox 131.0? They mostly cover up the tabs and make it difficult to impossible to open or close tabs. The floating window only half shows up above he tab. This is just insane and makes using Firefox almost to much to deal with. Every time I get near a tab the floating window appears and tells me what the tab already tells me. Come on this is GARBAGE!

I am De-Googling. My Gmail is still active but I turned off Thunderbird access via Google settings. I then proceeded to make vast changes to Gmail folder structure, labels, etc. because I mistakenly thought it was a good idea to start cleaning before I thought it all through. I went to Thunderbird to check for an email I deleted and realized it's going to prompt me to log in every time I open the app. I went looking for a solution and found out Thunderbird isn't set up for me to archive in this way. But can I?

I still have the Gmail account and will for some time as it was my main account for decades. I can connect it back to Thunderbird but I do not want any changes to folders or labels email location when I link it back up?

Is this possible?

If not, how do I move the account as it exists on Thunderbird so I have a usable offline account that will represent what I had before my mistakes? Thanks for your help

I have run across threads with similar questions in both mozilla support and reddit, but as they are old and archived I cannot add additional info or request clarification, so here is (yet another) new one- I understand you can go into manage data in settings to delete what you want, however in mine it only shows a handful of most recent (opened today or currently open) since my settings clears history and deletes cookies upon exiting ff.

Cookies and Site Data section shows only 40.7mb of data is stored and in Manage Data only shows 8 sites... Clear Data area, with only these two boxes selected (attached) and 'everything' (time) still only around 50mb. My storage/default folder has 1005 folders and the data is over 1.5gb; I would like to manually delete all of this and as others have tried to ask, am wondering if this is ok to manually select them and delete in windows, or using windows %appdata%(?) and if so, will the sync feature (if I just clicked 'sync now') still retain all my bookmarks when I relaunch ff? Not concerned about any browsing/form history or passwords, only bookmarks.

Thunderbird now seems to have a new design for the message window which uses three lines for each message e.g.: Fred Brown Message Title blank line or link to replies

Is this new or have I accidentally changed a setting? I want everything on a single line rather than split across three. I can onlu now see 4 or 5 messages at at ime rather than the 15 or so I could see before. And with some 100-200 messages a day it is a rather tedious amount of scrolling to ensure I haven't missed anything.

I updated my desktop browser today and now there is an expandable sidebar at the left margin of the window showing tool icons for Tabs from other devices, History and Customize sidebar. I can see how to remove tool icons and how to expand or collapse sidebar but can I remove the sidebar completely? Is this an option? I prefer the old look with the browser web page content extending all the way to the left of the screen, without the narrow vertical sidebar.

I go tired of the Outlook web client always trying to us AI to assist me. Installed Thunderbird ver 128.6.1 esr on a Ubuntu 24.04 system running Cinnamon desktop. All components are up-to-date (or should be as auto-update is on). System details at end of message.

Screens for mail and tasks are rock solid. The calendar jitters up and down rapidly small amounts. Not the entire page. Just the part where the calendar is displayed. Makes things a tad blurry and is tiring to look at.

Any ideas on how to resolve?

Hi all, I just installed Thunderbird the other night and in trying to figure stuff out about it, I've hidden the button that allows me to change the way my messages are displayed. Nowhere in my settings can I see an option to show this again. Can someone please help? I've attached a screenshot of my Thunderbird window if it helps.

Hi All, no matter what I try, seems for my POP3 accounts I am unable to see all my folders. I am unable to find a way to a way to configure the account as IMAP. Seems there is manual override to set up account as IMAP?

In Outlook, this all works well these accounts are setup as IMAP.

Firefox Android on an older Sony Xperia Android Tab (2016) still receiving Firefox updates, would you believe it, cannot access about:config page -- and yes it's about:config I'm attempting to access. Firefox adress bar icon displays site warning and freezes the page load whatever setting i try in Firefox settings.

No antimalware or such nonsense used on the device, just as fake in protecting my privacy as (foreign) gov.-sponsored whitelabel antimalware and privacy search engines -- remembering the recent Bing API-blackout that displayed a Bing search engine error message in all of the so called's etc etc

I'm not logged in on the device, as in not syncing an access all home living room device in any way. I don't need a breadcrum trail of other users leading to my accounts.

So what am I after? I don't want a stored cache of recently visited pages that apparently hog the limited memory and I want to limit the amount of 'recently visited pages'-cache stored in Firefox on Android. I want Firefox to be *pristine (beyond the moniker settings available as 'clear all' at Firefox close) each time a user picks up the tab. So, there's one or two settings under about:config limiting the recently visited pages cache to the latest visited only after closing Firefox -- lowest setting available (?) is 0, but hey, that's life.

I tried to change the appearance of thunderbird using a userChrome.css file.

• I am sure it is located in the correct profile folder and has the correct name userChrome.css
• The userChrome.css file is also visible in the style editor of the development tools and displays the correct contents if I edit the file.
• I am sure that the toolkit.legacyUserProfileCustomizations.stylesheets is set to true
• I restarted tb millions of times

The contents of my userChrome.css file are currently (but I also played with different content):

Hi. I have Thunderbird installed on my Galaxy S25 phone and Galaxy Tab S8 tablet. If I send an email from either of those 2 devices 2 copies of the same message appear in the 'Sent Items' folder. Two messages also appear in the 'Sent Items' folder of Outlook on my PC. If I send a message from Outlook on my PC only 1 message appears (as it should do). Is there something that can be done to correct this so that the message only appears once? Kind regards, Paul Goddard
