Is it me, or does the type size change several point sizes down unexpectedly in folder listings, correspondents, and other column items? In Font Control, I have unchecked "allow messages to use other fonts," but the problem persists. I'm using Thunderbird version 45.3.0.

The setting you mention is for the text in messages, and has no effect on menus, listings etc.

Having said that, this shouldn't happen. What OS do you use?

I don't know if there is a setting that will help you, because there is no good reason for these sizes to change. Somewhere, the expected size is being set and for some obscure reason, your system is deliberately disobeying such settings. So I'm not sure that changing a setting would make any difference.

Do you use the Theme and Font Size Changer add-on? If not, does it make any difference?

An alternative would be to try the userChrome.css file to set the UI font size.

As an experiment, does a new profile exhibit the same problem?

I'm using Windows 10 Home, V. 1511, OS Build 10586.589.

I do use the Theme Font & Size Changer.

Remove and reinstall the Theme Font & Size Changer add-on.
