Firefox likes suggesting files on my hard drive when I'm browsing, even when I haven't used Firefox to open those files. I'm trying to make it so Firefox only detects files that have been opened in the browser and not every program I have installed.

When does Firefox suggest files that are on your hard drive? I am not seeing anything like that, and I now have Firefox 13.

The highlighted file in the picture has never been opened with Firefox, yet Firefox is still listing it among websites I've visited. Stuff like this tends to pop up when I'm typing something in the address bar (in this case, I typed in "shark").

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
