Why does Firefox 16.0.1 keep disabling my brand new version of java?
Pogo.com cites a security problem and a fix for Java. Oracle provides an updated version. Mozilla disables that new version. Now, mozilla disables ANY version.Oracle web site cannot verify the new java installation. Oracle cannot verify ANY version installed on my pc. ALL sites act like Java is not installed no matter what browser I use. Windows 7 64-bit OS

Which version of Java did you install?
For Firefox you need the 32 bit Java 7 U9 runtime (JRE) version.
See Java Platform > Java SE 7U9 or Java 6U37 (Download JRE)

I have tried using Java versions 32 bit 7.9, 64 bit 7,9 and both 64 bit and 32 bit 6.35. None are able to be verified by Oracle web site. None will allow me to play games on Pogo. This all started when I updated Java to 7.9. 32 bit. Even when Mozilla accepted the 32 bit version of 7.9 Oracle web site still was unable to verify a correct installation. Pogo.com has not answered my support ticket and it has been 4 days. They must be stumped too. And this answer has still not solved the issue as it does not matter what version I am using it still will not verify at Oracle and still cannot use the pogo.com site.
This answer is confusing as I have a 64 bit system and it is telling me to install the 32 bit because of the Firefox browser being 32 bit. Then I am seeing that 64 bit systems need the 64 bit install. Which do I need?
