Hi I am successfully using Thunderbird rules to forward invoices and statements to Xero accounts. However, the emails are only sent when my PC is active. As I forward these emails to Xero for clients it would be good if they are sent as soon as they are received.

If I set up the same rules on my laptop, the emails will forward more often, but I am worried that the rules may be applied to received emails when they have already been forwarded and moved to an archive folder.

a) does this matter? b) can I add a delay so that the inbox is up to date (via IMAP functionality) before the rules are run?

Regards

Richard

Filters in TB only work if TB is open. It might work better if you set up the forwarding filter through webmail for the account, just as it's recommended for 'out-of-office' or 'on vacation' responses.
