Improve “Block web fonts to allow fonts-icons”

Dear community,

I’d like to kindly request an improvement to Firefox Focus “Block web fonts” settings, in order to align it to Firefox Windows browser.

In Windows Firefox: I can uncheck the option “Allow pages to choose their own fonts”. When I uncheck this option, all sites use my selected font, excluding those fonts which display icons. This matches my expected behaviour as pages are easy to read while keeping their icons (in menus or pagination components for instance).

However, in Firefox Focus, when I check “Block web fonts” (which I consider the equivalent feature), all web fonts are blocked, including those fonts meant to be used for icons. The result is that pages are visually broken, and menus display empty boxes instead of specific icons.

I request that Firefox Focus setting could be improved to provide an equivalent behaviour as Firefox Windows browser - I.e. block textual fonts while allowing icons-fonts.

This will allow to save bandwidth, increase readability, and avoid having broken pages.

Thanks for considering it
