I am unable to open or open the containing folder of information I have downloaded!

When I download a file it appears in the download list but I am unable to do anything with it or copy it to another location.

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is otherwise interfering with downloading files.

Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Has the file been transferred completely? Can you open the map, containing it?
