Official distribution locations for Mozilla Thunderbird
Unless you have a good reason to install your software using a different mechanism, it is recommended that you use one of the download sources described on this page. You should be careful about using software named Thunderbird from other sources - there is risk of installing infected or Trojan software.
Once installed, when newer versions of Thunderbird become available they will automatically be installed.
Thunderbird.net website

Use the download page to obtain the installation package that is recommended for your operating system and language, for the channel you wish to use. Please refer to installation instructions for Windows, macOS and Linux for additional details.
If you (optionally) wish to verify that you have downloaded an official version, follow the instructions for verifying a Thunderbird download.
Microsoft Store
If you use the Microsoft Windows operating system version 10 or newer, you may use the Microsoft Store to install Thunderbird.
