When i click "help"and scroll down to "firefox help", the link leads only to blank page! In address bar it says: https://support.mozilla.org/1/firefox/38.0.5/WINNT/en-US/firefox-help My version is 38.0.5 Using Windows XP. Never used to have this problem. Ay idea why?

Also, i had wanted to ask the ff help this question: (which is why i cam here to begin with): Why can't i drag my bookmarks around from on folder to another in Mac OS X? I can do that just fine with Windows, and i use that feature all the time! I really miss not being able to in Mac! Anyone know how i can easily do this? (IE, WITHOUT having to open the library and all that...)

Thanks!

Did you try to drag the bookmarks around in the sidebar?

It should probably work there on a Mac. It won't work in the Bookmarks menu because the menus are under control of the Mac OS and not Firefox. I don't know about the Bookmarks Toolbar and the "Show you bookmarks" button (next to the star) on the Navigation Toolbar.

The link you posted looks good. What happens if you try that link in your Mac, on the XP.

Not sure what you mean by dragging around your bookmarks, but I am guessing you have a folder of HTML files, but if doing so you miss out on a plethora of Firefox bookmarks features.

It is also possible to use Firefox Sync to sync bookmarks between devices but please take care. Firefox Sync does occasionally totally mess up the bookmarks, and in my personal opinion it is vital to also make manual backups of bookmarks, because you will need backups if Sync has a hickup the automatic backups may not be sufficient. Where are you trying to drag the bookmarks?

On Mac you may have to do this in the Bookmarks Manager (Library).

thanks john, the link works now.

and thanks cor-el, about the bookmarks- okay, i am only trying to drag them from one bookmarks folder to another, as desired, and when i wish, to stay better organized. These are folders i create in bookmarks.

Too bad we can't have this ease of sorting in Mac!!! What a bummer to have to go the extra step of opening the library. i mean, i am CONSTANTLY moving them around into my folders!

(EG, i often save a bookmark, an it simply goes into my unsorteds. Then later i decide to place it into one of my folders.
