After successfully migrating my firefox 4 months ago with mozbackup, this will not work why?

I got a new computer in July. Used mozbackup for firefox and thunderbird. Worked great the first time. Hard drive crashed, installed new hard drive. Now firefox is not being restored. It ends up in a file but not coming up like it did the first time. Don't want to mess with thunderbird until the firefox situation is fixed and I have my firefox back.

What ends up in a file? Are you having problems installing Firefox, or the mozbackup files?
