Vcf and sigfiles prevent sending of emails - remedy?

Hi,

If I attach one or both of the above files, the sending dialogue box just remains on screen - for hours! It will not send with these options enabled but is fine without them. Am I alone with this problem?

Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode. - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode

Does the problem go away?
