Hello!

I am having problems with multiple websites when I try to open links that open up in a new window. It isn't every website, but the ones that it effects caused a huge problem. So far, out of the ones I use most frequently, it has effected the content I can access on www.whittier.edu (I click on offices and services, then registrar's office, then schedule of classes and Firefox refuses to open the window for that), my email on my school's website, and various game sites including www.neopets.com. Does anybody know how to fix this issue? I like Firefox because it offers the constant private browsing and it keeps my computer fast, but this problem is making me consider going back to Internet Explorer. I have tried to fix the problem myself with no luck.

In any case, you may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in safe mode and select Disable all add-ons. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See this article for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
