My Google Homepage IE recognizes an Adobe Flash and my Firefox Google needs its own. Also, I may wish to cancel my Firefox entirely...will anything about that conflict w/a Thunderbird Mozilla internal feature email program, and/or Gmail? Thanks.

Thank you for reading the above question as it is, plus: I lost my Thunderbird computer internal email feature & was new & did not know how to put Yahoo or other into that function. I signed up for Mozilla Firefox for my Toshiba PC laptop, really liked it, but do not really use it. I restored my Thunderbird program, using Gmail for it...the Yahoo had failed. If I decide to delete my Firefox will that malaffect my Thunderbird Mozilla? Also, for some reason unknown to me, my Firefox does not recognize to use the Adobe Flash in my computer and requires its own...'usual? (I just deleted one of two carried.) Thanks. Lynn

First, Firefox and Thunderbird are separate programs. You can use one or the other or both. If you decide to uninstall Firefox, that should not have any ill effect on Thunderbird, but of course it's a good idea to make regular backups of your computer just in case.

Second, Internet Explorer uses a proprietary Flash player, so you do need a different one for Firefox. If you visit Adobe's "about" page using Firefox, it will push the correct plugin to you.

WOW! Thanks for your help. I seem to have leftover files from making changes, trying things, etc., and I do not know which is which or what is what sometimes. I appreciate knowing the two programs are entirely separate, as well as the explanation re the flash. Lynn
