when it comes to buying a new pc I will switch out to another browser, shame a good 12 years with FF.

Why is the text in tab names, address bar and menu boxes so small? I did the changes to about:config and the other one that comes up when I googled this question but, while they enlarge the text in those places, they make the page content too big.

Have several folders and sub-folders for saving important emails in Thunderbird. One choice for saving subfolders. my master email address. I can save to this folder but cannot retrieve those emails. Attached is a screen shot. How do I retrieve emails from those folders???

I hve discussede the matter with my banks IT-department, but they answer me that recently they have heard about the same problem concerning Firefox login and said that the problem have to be fixed by Mozilla/Firefox

Up until the last few days I had bookmarks, shortcuts etc saved on my phone and Firefox browser. Today I went to click on a shortcut that I regularly use, only to find it had been completely deleted from my phone! How did Firefox get access to my phone to remove these and to completely clear my history, bookmarks, shortcuts etc??? I never gave permission to access or to delete anything from my phone or browser!

I'm running the latest version of Firefox (126.0) on an iMac, OS 14.4.1. Starting a couple days ago, i was no longer to (consistently) minimize Firefox browser windows by double-clicking on the browser window title bar. I'm able to minimize the window INCONSISTENTLY and only very infrequently via double-clicking, but with no obvious pattern. This problem only occurs with Firefox. I have no problem minimizing any other browser or application windows.

My Mac OS settings are always set to "Double-click a window's title bar to minimize."

I can minimize via Command-M, but i prefer to double click. I vaguely remember this occurring on another iMac of mine some years ago, but don't remember if i found a fix, or if it went away on its own.

Is there any way to block media mini players from popping up on websites entirely?

This is what I've tried, I found this in another article here.

   media.autoplay.block-event.enabled = true
   media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground 

It doesn't autoplay anymore, but it still pops up in the bottom right corner of the screen. I don't mean Firefox's picture in picture, I'm talking about the floating mini player most websites use. It's thoroughly annoying, especially when you have your pop-up settings set to off.

About tab crashes Every time I open Firefox, it crashes immediately and does not trigger the crash report window. Even though I have checked and enabled the option to send crash reports in the settings, it doesn't work. When I look for crash report logs, it shows that I have not sent any crash reports.I've tried many methods to view the crash report, but it just shows that there are none. I only found this information related to crash reports in the installation files.(you can see it in the picture)，hope someone can answer this question, thank you very much.😭

I am a website administrator and I have noticed a lot of 404 errors in my site's CDN access logs. The requested paths are all "/", and the user-agents are all "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.10; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0". The client source IPs are distributed, and the ASNs are also diverse. The requests are made to a domain specifically used for static resources (css, js), and the referer is my main website. I suspect there might be a specific bug with Firefox/55.0. Can anyone help me confirm this?

Hi, this is going to be a long one, so many things... Using Firefox the latest Ubuntu LTS, with the latest Firefox from Snap. I'm a very long term Firefox user, never had any real troubles unit recently. I have a vast number of cookies, saved passwords and so on. Reinstalling or deleting cookies or such isn't an option unless fixes are guaranteed to work - if I have to start over then I'll do it with Opera, that is where my grumpiness indicator is at.

The set up is two monitors (working as a single 'screen') attached to an Aspire PC (Aspire X seems to be the model?). I tend to have 'stuff' going on in the left hand monitor, YouTube on the right. The PC is on all day. I know there are log files, but I don't know which is for what or where they are. I use AdBlocker Ultimate.

So what's happening is: Firefox crashes quite often at any time - 'Firefox is not responding - force quit or wait' - always have to quit. There doesn't seem to be any repeatable way to cause this, it seems random.

When the mouse enters the YouTube window (the drawing area, not the actual window) it disappears until the pointer moves out of the window. Jiggling the window size sometimes brings it back, but...

When the mouse pointer actually appears the window is completely unresponsive - clicks don't work, nothing highlights and so on. After somewhere between 10 and 30 seconds things will work for 2 or 3 mouse actions (clicks, drags etc) then do it again. Unless I give it plenty of time, clicking on a video will play a pretty random one - Firefox seems to lose track of where the pointer is.

If I comment on a video the I get about 5 to 10 characters in then nothing happens for 10 to 20 seconds, then any queued characters are shown. Rinse and repeat until the comment is complete - it takes ages.

YouTube is the biggest problem, but there are some glitches in other Firefox windows, I'm supposing that the problems are audio/video related.

None of the above happens with Opera. It's getting to the stage where Firefox is unusable.

I've googled and searched this site but the there seems no solution.

I view a lot of PDFs for electronics design. And after some time with the browser running it starts to garble PDFs. I have not found a trigger. Sometimes it opens fine in a new container tab or private browsing, other times nothing will open it. Very occasionally refreshing a few times makes it load correctly. The error doesn't manifest for all PDFs at the same time. Open ones will remain viewable, and once the error occurs some new PDFs still open while others fail consistently. Sometimes opening the same PDF as a file from my local drive makes it render.

The rendering error is a bit unlike anything I've ever seen. There is a lot of X and Y spearing like it tried to render the same text and images in slightly different spots over and over again. When I switch virtual workspaces and come back some parts of the rendered page retain the contents of the previous workspace and others do not. Scrolling produces jitter and additional smearing.

One somewhat reliable way to trigger the error is to put the laptop to sleep and wake it up. That always causes PDFs to exibit this error but often refreshing the PDF will work to restore it. Not reliably though.

I've attached an image of the error captured with my phone because neither screenshots nor OBS can actually "see" the garbage on screen. Apologies that this error is so full of inconsistent behavior. I've lived with this for some time now in the hopes that it was a temporary problem and tried to work out what causes it but I can't find anything other than putting the laptop to sleep being a cause, and even then it is not the sole cause.

Lately, I used "Bing" in Firefox browser,but it often show no result and give one message about “Missing children". I think this is very strange, so I try to search in the "Bing" in different browser(Firefox and Chrome),and the test is confused. when I used this string "益云公益寻儿童" as the keyword for searching, there is only one result in Firefox browser but there are many results in Chrome browser.please see below images ( image 1 and image 2). At the same time ,there are also many results in "Baidu" in Firefox(image 3). Next I changed another keywords"天气预报",but there is still the big difference between them. when I Searching ,I closed all the plugins. So I think this is strongly related to Firefox browser. This phenomena makes "Bing search" very unpredictable so that I often got no result. please help me! thanks.

My firefox disappeared after i found out someone using Windows 7 used my hotmail account address.I dont know how to rectify this and get my firefox back and change my email address with both Mozilla and Microsoft Outlook

I am running 4 email addresses (3 hotmail.com and 1 live.com) on TB 102.15.1 (64 bit) - Windows 10. About a month ago I upgraded TB was unable to send anything no matter what Server settings I used - tried every combination - so I downgraded back to Version 102 and everything went back to normal. About a week ago, one of my hotmail accounts started giving me a "fail to log in" message. The other accounts work fine. The "fail to log in" will go from 2 or 3 times to 15 to 20 times in about an hour or so but every time, sooner or later will work and then it will be fine for a few hours and then start again. I have had these accounts running on TB for well over 10 years with no problem and I have not changed anything in the Server settings or anywhere else. The account I am having the issue with has been running on TB since TB started with no problems until now. I assume that TB may be having some issues with the Outlook platform but I have not changed anything there either and I have no problem logging into hotmail.com directly. I have spent many hours combing the internet for hints to no avail - everything I have tried has either had no effect or screwed things up so I had to back track to where I started. Any ideas???

For some time now TB has been opening with a blank screen. I've located web advice which reads in part "Usually if you go to "Tools - Account Settings etc, TB will start in the Inbox folder" but that doesn't help because those are already my settings. I'm convinced that I have changed something because TB always used to open in the Inbox folder. Solution would be appreciated.

I just moved (drag and drop) an email from my Inbox to a Topical Folder I created a few years ago. When I went to look at the message in that Topical Folder, it wasn't there in the list of emails. I had responded to the email earlier, so I found a copy in my Sent folder. When I dragged and dropped that Sent copy to the topical folder, it was not visible in the Topical Folder email list (but was gone from the Sent folder). In addition to responding to the original email, I had also forwarded it to someone else, so I had that person forward it back to me. When I dragged and dropped that forwarded-forwarded email from my inbox to my Topical Folder, it was not visible in the topical folder (and was gone from my inbox).

Confused as I am? Well, when I search on the Topical Folder, I could see listed all the emails I had moved there! But I can't open them or see them in the folder list, so they might as well be lost.

My question: Is there some sort of filter or something of which I'm not aware that has a default setting that makes some stored emails invisible? I'm starting to get worried that other messages might have vanished from my view!

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

My Thunderbird Inbox is set up to order the emails so the oldest emails are at the top of the list, and the part of the list that is showing in the window on the screen is the bottom of the list, therefore the most recent emails. However, when I open Thunderbird to look at the emails in the Inbox, while the list is in the order as just specified (oldest at the top, newest at the bottom), what I see on the screen is the section of the list of the emails that arrived about 6 weeks ago. To see the most recent emails I have to move the list up the window. It has been doing this for about 2 months.

Any idea why it is doing this, and how to 'fix' it, please?
