Hello, On my old computer Thunderbird gave me two horizontal planes - the top one listed messages, the lower on showed the selected message text. On my new computer, the full screen shows just the list of messages but does not have thew lower pane to display the selected message. How do I reset this please? Grateful for any suggestions. For the last few version upgrades, my deleted mail is not appearing in the "Deleted" folders. I tried the solution of deleting the smart mailboxes folder, which didn't work. All of my "Deleted" folders for various mail accounts are unified. My version is 128.2.3esr (32-bit).

I run Thunderbird on a PC, and, to free up space on Drive C:, I have moved the contents of the folder Thunderbird in Appdata to Drive D:. I then changed my Server Settings, in Thunderbird, from C: to D:, and note that any new mail is indeed now appearing there along with those already transferred. This move could save me a valuable 6 gig of space, and more in the future, however, I am unable to remove that original Thunderbird folder entirely, notably I am unable to remove the contents of the Profiles folder, as it is still linked to the application. Notably with cookies.sqlite, cookies.sqlite-shm, store.json, mozlz4, aborted-session-ping and many others, which I note some have continued to be updated. I have been unable to find any other settings in Thunderbird referring to Drive C:, other than those in Server Settings.

I could presume that if I installed another version of Thunderbird on Drive D: and maybe moved those existing contents of the Thunderbird folder on C: onto Drive D:, and made those numerous settings changes to the App it could work. But I ask is there an easier way to complete this move? How can I complete this transition of Thunderbird from Drive C: to Drive D:?

When I create an event in Thunderbird Agenda, I add a description and I send the event to attendees. These attendees receive the invitation to the event, but the description is not showing.

What can I do?

I use the latest Thunderbird email client 128.2.2esr (64-bit). Microsoft announced that to make it work with outlook all users have to make changes in settings for more security. I did all that they wrote and can receive emails on my .......@outlook.com email address, but I can't send emails due to absence of authentication setting for outgoing server. I attached screenshots FYI. Is it possible to fix this issue? It's required to add authentication setting for outgoing server.

Hi. Is there a way to add travel time to an appointment just like you can do in google or apple calendar? It’s a great feature. When I add an adres to my appointment Apple calendar will automatically add the travel time by car from my home to the destination. I miss that feature in Thunderbird.

I have migrated Thunderbird from one Windows laptop to another, copying the profile and all included files. This mostly worked but has created a couple of issues I am trying to troubleshoot and could really use some help.

First thing probably worth noting is that I had an earlier version of Thunderbird on the old laptop than the new one downloaded to the new laptop. I don't that if that is the problem.

I have two email accounts which are both using IMAP. When I delete an email in Thunderbird, it keeps coming back and I now have multiple copies of that email. My storage is filling up 😒 Is there a setting I am missing?

Additionally, the migration does not seem to have brought over my contacts. Did I miss something?

Any help and advice will be greatly appreciated.

Dobrý den, na starém PC jsem měla v nastavení serveru typ POP. Aniž bych cokoliv měnila, při instalaci Thunderbird do nového PC mám najednou typ IMAP. Jak se typ serveru dá změnit? Jde mi o možnost zaškrtnutí volby Ponechat zprávy na serveru. děkuji Iva Gurecká

Can no longer send/receive email. Error message about "certificates", ports?, IMAP? settings......... Have tried various combinations and receive a variety of error massages.

I recently started to receive this error message: The folder 'Inbox on gassajx@xxxx.com' could not be compacted because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again." I have over 300 GB free disk space and full control of the file system. How can I make compacting folders work again?

Please advise how I can get get the correct IMAP server address. I need it for Google Data Migration .

I have tried entering server name under server settings(imap.gmail.com) but unfortunately that does not seem to work.

Hy, after the last update the emails I marked them with tags are no more in colors (title, sender etc...). I have no addons in my Thunderbird. I have tried suggested solutions I have read (restard in safe mode, clear cache, disable addons etc...).
