Tried to register and download drivers for new printer from usa.canon.com, was able access site, but none of the buttons would work. Even after reload a couple of times and reboot also. Called tech support who suggested try different browser. Everything worked perfect with Chrome, which leads me to think there is a hitch with this site and Firefox.

My current browser is Firefox and I'm using windows 7pro.

Holy cats! I could drive there faster. This is way too much. As I've previously never experienced this problem, and did clear the cache and reboot, I assumed it may be a glitch with Firefox and Mozilla may want to know about it.

Thanks for the info, but Google Chrome resolved the problem.

Does the button show the download when you hover it with the mouse?

If that is the case then try copy the link to the clipboard and open the link in a new tab via the right-click context menu.

Can you post a link to a publicly accessible page (i.e. no authentication or signing on required) where you try to download such a driver?
