are you sure your page loads into plain html? i think not.

youtube is a good example. go to the home page. click the right button on a blank field somewhere - view page info.

browse thru the tabs, see if images are disabled, if there is some groovy stuff going on.

that was one. two:

go to about:config, promise that you will be careful and remember every time you change something. see if you see something shaggy there.

three: open youtube homepage, extend that little settings window from the top left within the firefox software and click on developer - network - css. see if things are loading. but still, that problem sounds a little bit, ugh! try the oldest stuff in the book 1.cleaning your cache 2. delete everything your operating system knows and has ever known about the godzila firefox browser and get yourself a new fresh copy from their download page. the easy escape...

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

  • Clear the Cache and
  • Remove Cookies
    Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to.

Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar.

  • Cookies; Select Privacy. Under History, select Firefox will Use Custom Settings. Press the button on the right side called Show Cookies. Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove All of them.
  • Cache; Select Advanced > Network. Across from Cached Web Content, Press Clear Now.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences#advanced<Enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe websites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.
