Windows XP Home w/SP3 Firefox 3.6.13 Flash Plugin 10.1.102.64 IE8 w/Flash 10.1.102.64 addl data upon request

======

When I visit CNETTV (http://cnettv.cnet.com/six-essential-free-apps-your-new-pc/9742-1_53-50097586.html) to view/play the video, I get a response back of "To play this video, you need Javascript enabled and the latest version of Flash installed. Install Flash now". I can play to video just fine with IE8. I don't know if it is just with CNETTV that this problem exists but it appears that this may be the case. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks.

Check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page.

You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website.
Filter: general.useragent

If any general.useragent prefs are bold (user set) then right-click that pref and choose Reset.

Ok. I did check the "about:config" and found four(4) items listed, of which two were BOLD. I did a RESET. I went back to CNETTV and I can ... for now ... watch the videos. I really don't know if the RESET corrected this problem. I had also sent a support request to CNET about this problem. So anyway, I can which their videos.
