After last set of updates I was unable to browse the web. After 6 1/2 hours of going through all possibilities got firefox to work. Now, three days later clicking on hyper links does not work. Some work when right clicked and opened in another window, others no go. They do work in IE, How do I open links in firefox? The links that do not open at all are ones of auction photos on auctionzip.com.

Hi jonkerk11,

Do you have any content blocking set for auctionzip. com?

Click at the right end of your address bar as in the screenshot.

I turned off all content blocking for Auctionzip and still nothing. It is set to standard content blocking, what I am trying to view are photos of items listed for auctions.

Links to map, auctioneers other listings and auctioneers web site do work, but I am unable to view full photo gallery.

Hi jonkerk11,

I can't duplicate a problem. Selecting view full photo gallery opens a new tab with a page of thumbnails. Selecting any thumbnail opens a small window with larger images which you can scroll through.

Maybe your anti-virus "sees" this activity as pop-ups.

Hi jonkerk11,

Considering the crash that you had after the last updates, you might find some help here: Reset Firefox

And it's always a good idea to back up your profiles: Back Up Firefox Profiles

By 1:30 AM Wednesday I reset Firefox and got back internet use. After the new Firefox version, when I would type numbers for passwords they would come out as characters regardless of "caps lock" on or off. The reset took care of that issue. Could the new version of Firefox be interacting with my antivirus, Norton Security Suite in this manner with the images being viewed as pop-ups? On other sites I have noticed an increase in popups since the new version. [I am obviously not a techie and am working out bugs one at a time and do thank you for your efforts.]

Hi jonkerk11,

I also use Norton Security Suite so, I don't think that is an issue.

I've been looking closer at auctionzip. com and I think that you might have an issue with javascript in your configuration.

I'm not very familiar with Firefox's configuration. It might be better for you if a Moderator helps you with any possible issues there.

In the meantime, here's an extension that might help you view the photo gallery and at the same time tell you if it really is a javascript issue: NoScript Security Suite

I could not open the link you sent but was able to go online to the site and was able to install the no script. There is still no change as I cannot view the pictures. After using mozilla for perhaps a decade or so I am ready to give up on it. I still use Windows 7 as when Windows 10 first came out I tried it and found it to be much slower. Could this problem be an issue between Windows 7 and Mozilla?

I just removed no script as it made me unable to open facebook.

After installing and then removing no script I can once again view the pics. Forgive me for so many posts but I feel like a cat chasing its tail or, more appropriately a rat in a maze.
