Irresponsibly, Mozilla gives NO WARNING that Macs without Intel can't run FF 4, so I downloaded it, can't figure out how to get 3.6 instead.
Got an alert to upgrade from FF 3.6.13 (or 14? lots of such messages recently and I'm losing track). Did so successfully, but got a come-on to switch to FF 4. Haven't had trouble with it this week since I upgraded on my XP machine at work, so I figured I would.
Was there ANY warning about limited compatibility? No. Any option for maintaining 3.6 until I could confirm that 4.0 would work? No. So when I downloaded it, and got the familiar fox with an unfamiliar circle-with-slash symbol, it was a big surprise. When it wouldn't mount after 2-3 attempts, I dug around: Macs must be running Intel processors. I'm running 10.5.8 (which ought to work) with a PowerPC G4 processor. So I need to be able to download the latest 3.6. There must be a place to do it, but I can't dig it out of my history because my 3.6 is gone and that's where that history was. PLEASE tell me where I can find 3.6 downloads!

There is a third party version of Firefox 4 that runs on OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox
If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
