I was using Firefox normally. I closed it for a while then I would never open again. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it did not fix the problem. I deleted the program folders and profile folders and reinstalled again... same thing. When I launch it, the spinning cursor works for a while then goes back to the arrow shape. I have no more details to give.

Thanks to Cor-el who put me in the good direction. My problem was not with any security system, but with a software that was installed without my consent in my computer. I found it by going through all apps in the programs and settings window. The culprit is "Interenet optimizer" (named exactly as this). After uninstalling this guy my Firefox started without any glitch.

It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to install for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
