Change request. Hi, With Thunderbird for Windows I can free-type a From: address that is different from the account email address, and I would like to do this on the Android version too. For the avoidance of doubt, I don't want to use another account's email address, I want to free-type whatever I choose.

For example Yahoo allows me to create up to 500 email aliases in the form alias-anyword@yahoo.com

As this feature has always been available on the desktop version, is it something you could incorporate on Android?

I have not found a way to print an email from Thunderbird for Android. There are several occasions when that is important for me. Now I have to leave Thunderbird and log into a web client to be able to print a copy of an email.

I have always found being able to archive messages in thunderbird very useful whether by year or to a specifically created folder, eg " committee business".

  I am finding this impossible in thunderbird for android. How do I create specific new folders / archives. I am sorry if I am missing something obvious. Thank you for your help

I am having problems with Thunderbird not downloading all messages from my icloud account.

It has only download back to November 2024 but I have emails back to 2012. (I have 10000+ emails as I keep them all as an effective records database.

I have adjusted the Thunderbird settings to include all emails of any size and date and set the number of emails to all. My settings are the same as my desktop Thunderbird.

I am running the latest version 8.2.

Does anyone have a solution?

In Settings for an IMAP account, Fetching mail, there's an option "Erase deleted messages on server" that has 3 options: Immediately, When polling, and Manually. I get the first 2, but what happens when I select Manually?

I've been trying to add Shared Outlook Office 365 Mailboxes to Thunderbird Mobile, but using the recommended method that is used on other email apps using a backslash "myaccount@example.com\sharedmailbox@example.com" doesn't seem to work in Thunderbird. Is there a different method that I am missing?

I am a novice in Thunderbird on Android (version 8.2). I have uploaded my settings from my desktop, where there is

       <value key="sentFolderSelection">AUTOMATIC</value>
       <value key="subscribedFoldersOnly">false</value>
       <value key="syncRemoteDeletions">true</value>
       <value key="uploadSentMessages">true</value>

So, I expect that the emails I send will be stored in the folder where there is the message I reply to.

But unfortunately, they are not there. I tried to find them in Sent, Archive... but did not succeed anywhere.

Kia ora. I have just downloaded Thunderbird for Android - I always used it in the past, when I had a 'proper' laptop, so was really pleased to see that it was now available. I use a Bluetooth keyboard with my tablet, which transforms using the tablet into something like a laptop. However, my shortcut keys don't seem to work with Thunderbird, like they used to. I can't create bold or italics (there's nothing like the little icons at the top of this box, for example), or move up and down the screen with keystrokes. I can find nothing in the help about this topic. Please can someone help me, or is the Thunderbird for Android of very limited utility?

Hello, TB only searches for Android in the loaded mails. If nothing is found there, how can I extend the search to the server? I don't want to load all the mails.

Switched to Android Thunderbird at end of January. Used export function from PC for most of my email accounts but had to do some manually. All emails from Thunderbird Android are being returned - blocked, that is the exported and manual configurations. I have cross checked PC configuration with Android Configuration - same. Thunderbird version 8.2 Android version 12 Help please.

I just learned about Thunderbird Mobile for Android and installed it from F-droid. Everything seemed to go okay until I tried to import my settings from the desktop (Thunderbird 128.7.0esr (64-bit) running on SolydK Linux 12 (Debian Bookworm)). I lined up the QR code (I think) and pressed the Done button, but it just dumped me back to the Getting Started screen without accessing my settings at all.

When responding to Mails, I often get error messages, that GMX server can't be reached. These emails remain in outbox forever and are also not processed later. If a fresh mail is created afterwards, it is sent immediately without any flaws. Unfortunately the earlier response mail is not processed also then.

Any suggestions?

8 accounts in desktop thunderbird. On import to android thunderbird 3 remain separate with inboxes, the others combined inappropriately into unified inbox. Clicking off unified inbox in display settings leaves these accounts with no display except an empty outbox folder. Their other folders and any contents are invisible. How to maintain separately managed accounts, each with inbox and all other folders?

I just switched to K9/Thunderbird pn my Android device Is there a way to create/import subfolder which i use for my mailbox before? My account is using POP/SMTP and work fine except thr subfolder

Installation of T-Bird on a Galaxy S10 - Android 12: sent or replied-to emails are not saved on any "sent" or "gesendet" folder, although email have definitively been sent (have tested that by sending mail to own account).
