Hi,

my Thunderbird has got the Windows' Title Bar in it and I'd like to remove it. Firefox has an option to enable/disable that Title Bar but I cannot find how to do it in Thunderbird.

Everything I tried so far didn't work; that includes: disabling add-ons, setting "mail.tabs.drawInTitlebar" to false and deleting xulstore.json.

I'm running Windows 10 Home x64 CU and Thunderbird 52.1.0 This is happening only to my user profile but I'd like not to start over with a new one. Any advice?

Thanks

Chosen solution

Alright, it's solved (without add-ons).

I had "mail.tabs.autoHide" set to true. As soon as I switched that to false, in combination with "mail.tabs.drawInTitlebar;true", Thunderbird removed the title bar.

This works with the default theme: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/thunderbird/addon/hide_titlebar_plus_tb/

Unfortunately it doesn't work here. When Thunderbird loads I see for a second that the Title Bar is gone, but as soon as Thunderbird finishes loading, the bar comes back again.

You may have another add-on that is incompatible or a non-default preference. See the picture for a working example.
