Having problems with Ufile.com working properly.
Hello, I use Ufile for my taxes. They weren't bad a few years back. For the past 3-4 years they have been a problem with their website not loading properly. They want you to use Chrome (as do more then a few websites). I don't like Chrome for privacy reasons. What do you suggest I do? Load Chrome for Ufile and then delete it. Can you suggest a tax website that works better with Fire Fox? Open to suggestions. Thanks in advance. Bob

You can check the connection settings and check for possible issues with a Proxy or VPN service.
- Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings
If you do not need to use a Proxy to connect to internet, select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

I have used both of these tax sites on Firefox without issues:
- https://www.hrblock.com/online-tax-filing/
- https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/free-edition.jsp
You may want to look into either of these sites to see which you prefer. H&R Block allows more items to be filed for free while TurboTax seems to be removing things that were free in years before then charging for them. Ex. On TurboTax, the Student loan interest deduction used to be free a few years ago, now you must upgrade to the Deluxe version to claim this deduction. (Link to reviews confirming that) Just something to keep in mind.
There's also another tool to file for free directly from the IRS. I have used it on Firefox before as well: https://www.irs.gov/e-file-providers/free-file-fillable-forms
