I lost my menu bar. Mozilla states use safe mode to start restoration, I cannot get Mozilla to open in safe mode. How do I proceed? Thanks

I downloaded a Christmas tree light bar, and in the process the menu bar disappeared. Mozilla instructions begin with going to the Mozilla Safe Mode. When I try to go to the safe mode (using run) the window resets to normal.

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.

Hit the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.
