Version 76.0.1, 64 bit,Windows 8.1, running boot time scan with Avast free, shows several reports of mozilla firefox installer archive and zip archive corrupted, what does this mean and how do I resolve these issues so that those messages go away.

If you find a corrupt file, the best thing to do is to remove those and get a fresh download from their website. If the file is something an installer placed, remove all program files and get the current installer.

I am not an IT person, I have no idea how to remove the corrupt file, that is why I put the request on here, so, you say "if you find a corrupt file, the best thing to do is to remove those and get a fresh download from their website"

The corrupt files are mozilla firefox installer archive and zip archive corrupted (see attached) they show up on an anti virus scan, there is no option to remove them.

so, how do I remove them, are you saying that if I uninstall mozilla firefox and download and install a new version those entries will disappear?

The three files you showed are part of a user profile.
What program is showing this? Can you provide a full list of the report?

The corrupt files are 'mozilla firefox installer archive' and 'zip archive corrupted' (as in the screenshot attached above) they show up on a boot-time scan run in Avast Anti Virus.

I uninstalled Firefox, ran the Avast boot-time scan and the corrupt files still showed up.

I installed Firefox, ran the Avast boot-time scan and the corrupt files still showed up.

All the info that I have is in the screenshot attached above, it was from a photo of the pc screen as the Avast boot-time scan was running.

The three files you showed are part of a user profile.

Note: Firefox comes in three or more folders on all computers.
They are;

Maintenance: (Programs Folder) <Windows Only>
Firefox itself: (Programs Folder)
And two folders in the profile of each user on the computer
for each Firefox profile for that user.

If you remove the Firefox folder, the user profiles would not be affected.

Use these links to create a new profile. Use this new profile as is. Is the problem still there?
