www.google.com is set as my homepage. Since 2-3 days, when I open firefox, there is only a blank screen showing this error. It goes away when I click on Home button several times, or close and open firefox 2-3 times. I ran ccleaner first time 2-3 days ago, may be the problem arised from there. Error 500: IDL:smgt.juniper.net/sae/SAEException:1.0

Are you using Airtel's broadband Internet service ? It seems so. SAE refers to "Subscriber Authentication Engine". It is a software module used in the ISP's Juniper router/server to validate a subscriber's account, login, session, policies etc. It also sends policies to be enforced to the subscriber's modem. The problem seems to be created by Airtel. I too am having a similar problem. Airtel seems to be illegally forcing us to use their webpage which says "Welcome to Airtel Broadband" with links to Airtel, Selfcare, Speed Check etc as hardwired homepage. It also lists external links to Google, Yahoo, Gmail, Shaadi.com, Twitter, Youtube etc using a Java Server Pages software/plugin using the IP address 125.21.240.99. The IP takes to "http://125.21.240.99/AWP/welcomeStruts.jsp" which contains the page. It seems to have bugs in it, hence the browser's errors. This type of problem has cropped up around 4th June at the same time for all users. Hence more likely it's a Airtel created problem. Will post more when i get info. Meanwhile a call to Airtel broadband Support number strongly objecting to their homepage imposition might make them to rethink.

Thanks for the info. I too am facing the same problem exactly as you mentioned since June 4 and I am using Airtel Broadband service. How about getting rid of Airtel altogether and go in for some other ISP? Sometimes the 'numero uno' thinks, he is unbeatable and can get away with whatever he does.

It is time we helped the others in the field accepting their 'little less efficient' services. But it is worth it. After all it is our money!!! So any clues whom to start with?
