I there is an existing thread with the same question, but the solution provided is not correct in my opinion. The tool that can be downloaded from inklineglobal does not solve anything. It is not even a real tool: it only shows a text saying you how to set an homepage from the "Tool" menu of Firefox. And of course this is the first thing we all tried several times before understanding that something was wrong and that we needed help :) Since I downloaded pcbooster from inklineglobal.com I cannot set my preferred home page. To be honest, I think it all happened after I decided to remove PC Booster, not after I installed it. Ever since I uninstalled PC Booster, no matter how many times i change my home page, it always stays inklineglobal.com/google search. i

I see there is a lot of info missing in my question, it seems like it has been deleted... Also, I can't see the technical details I gave. Anyway I think I solved my issue with a solution initially given for Internet Explorer, that I adapted to Firefox:

Step 1: FOLLOW the second solution provided at this link (msconfig + inetcpl.cpl) http://www.justanswer.com/computer/4f7vi-inklineglobal-seems-set-default-web-browser.html Step 2: then RESET FIREFOX https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-to-fix-preferences-wont-save?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=Preferences+are+not+saved#w_reset-firefox-to-fix-the-problem

On the contrary, the solution provided at the Firefox thread with the same title as mine, is completely useless: http://www.inklineglobal.com/support/technical_ff_homepage.html I am sure who suggested it did not even try it.
