Latest update to Firefox

I personally know of 5 people, including myself that have had nothing but issues with the latest update to Firefox, from crashing, not being able to type, not being able to reply to emails, to not being able to use it at all. Mine also didn't save any of my passwords or saved sites :(

I have tried for 2 days to find some way to contact Firefox, but getting absolutely no help.

If anyone knows what's going on or how to fix it on all these computers I'd really appreciate it.

This is the official support for the Mozilla Firefox browser.

Please explain the problem in detail. What happens? What are the exact error messages?


In the address box, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 Submitted crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

Mine did not come up with anything, I ended up having to re-install Firefox in order to get things working again, my bookmarks came back but none of my saved passwords. My mother in law and neighbour, I will have to get of their computers to see if I can get that information - My father in law has given up not being able to search for anything - can't type in either the address bar or the search bar - they are buying a new tower and hoping that will fix it with a fresh install. My husband I'll have to ask exactly what happens with his - not sure if he re-installed yet, told him to - if not I'll get those errors if I can find them.

All my husband's personalizations are gone, theme's, fonts and that kind of stuff. Will there be a crash report for those?

Sometimes when the browser thinks there is a problem with the profile, it will create a new one.


Look on your desktop. Do you see a folder called; Old Firefox? Look inside. Look for the folder with the latest creation date.

Type about:profiles<enter> in the address box. How many profiles are listed? How many should be there? Also, open the profile folder in your file explorer.
