How do I update JRE to 7u13?
JRE 7u10 has created a bug with FF...the bug is supposedly fixed in JRE 7u13
I have purged all versions of Java below 7u11 and cleaned my machine of all traces except in FF18.0.1.
I do not know how to get this fixed; is there a registry edit that will fix this? I need to get Java working in FF...I deleted my JDKs 32 and 64 as it says this is related to FX...restarted...does not work...do not know where to get 7u13 which has fix...

Java 7U13 and 6U39 have been released.
You can find the latest Java version on the Oracle website.
See Java Platform > Java SE 7U13 and Java 6U39 (Download JRE)

hello, java 7u11 is the current version released by oracle (though it reportedly has security vulnerabilities and in some cases issues with installing in firefox). you'll have to wait until oracle is coming up with ann update addressing the problems...
I know the current version is 7u11, but in researching my problems I have heard some people have access to later versions...apparently one of the problems is a registry error entered when machines with FF installed 7u10 and 7u13 corrects the registry error. Why can we not get a fix for that problem?
those are likely internal test builds by oracle. i know nothing about the release schedule by oracle - for details you'd have to contact their support.
According to "The Java Source", Java SE 7u13 is scheduled for release on Feb 19, 2013.

I have found that the easiest way to update the never-ending Java saga is to (on Windows) go into the control panel, click the Java Icon and Update from there.
Hope this helps!
