Is there any way to view older text files or set up line wrap? Files do not seem to have LF or CR-LF, so each paragraph is displayed as one line.
I would like to convert these older files to html, but seem not to be able to do so. When I was still running windows, I could modify the files using frontpage and it would all come out fine. Now running Ubuntu 10.10. I guess I could install frontpage thru Wine, but have had problems with software in wine.

Try a file like this:
<html><head><title>Convert text file to HTML</title></head> <body> <h2>Select text file to convert to HTML</h2> <input id="fileItem" type="file" onchange="processData();" > <script type="text/javascript" > function processData(){ data = document.getElementById('fileItem').files[0].getAsText("utf8"); data = data.replace(/&/g,'&').replace(/</g,'<').replace(/>/g,'>').replace(/\n/g,'<br>\n'); with(window.open().document){ write('<html><body><style type="text/css">body {word-wrap:break-word}</style>'+data+'</body></html>'); close(); } } </script> </body></html>
