I wish to update my email address with you as I have closed my CenturyLink account. Why is this being such a hassle

This isn't a firefox caused issue but that the user didn't update to a free online email account before closing your centurylink account. The only time the login primary password can be changed is when you change it sends a confirmation to the registered email to confirm the change. But since you no longer have centurylink account access there nothing more that can be done here.
