I was required to change my email password. No Thunderbird will not send my emails.
Yesterday, Earthlink suspended my email account because it was being used for spam. They had me change my password and now I am able to receive email on Thunderbird but I am not able to send. When I send, they show in my "Sent" folder, but they do not go to the person I am sending them to. I have walked through all the methods listed for fixing this, but am still not able to send. I am able to send from Earthlink web mail, but not from Thunderbird. Something seems to be blocking me. I can't seem to upload the image of the information you need so I'll type it in:
Outgoing Server (SMTP) Settings: Earthlink - smtpauth.earthlink.net Server Name: smtpauth.earthlink.net Port: 587 Password transmitted insecurely Connection Security: None
Provider is Earthlink ISP is Frontier Firewall is by Windows 7 Bitdefender CCleaner Malwarebytes Windows 7 Thunderbird 91.5.0 (32 bit)
I have used Thunderbird for several years and have had no problems until now.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

I always suggest being extra safe when doing that by copying the profile to a separate place - just in case of problems. You should be able to install right over the current version without needing to uninstall.

It may be possible that the receiving server is discarding the mail, based on your comment that you had been flagged as spam. If you use IMAP, are the messages sent in Thunderbird visible in SENT folder from webmail? That indicates the messages were, indeed, sent. You might try sending a message to several different accounts to see results, plus send to yourself. If such testing confirms none are being received, I think the problem may need to be pursued with Earthlink.
I use pop and the messages sent in Thunderbird are only visible in the sent folder in Thunderbird. If I send from webmail they are visible in the webmail sent folder.
I just got off the phone with Earthlink. They checked the system and said that the problem appears to be with Thunderbird. In the meantime I set up an account with Outlook and there is no problem sending from there. I would prefer to stay with Thunderbird. I have not had this problem in all the years I have been with them.
Okay, This is strange (to me). I suggest reviewing the SMTP settings. If port is 25, change to 465 or 587, or verify with Earthlink, if needed. Maybe someone with more experience will see this request. Have you tried sending an email to yourself to confirm that the message is not being actually sent?
Also, I noticed you are sending mail insecurely. I assume that means you do not have a password set on smtp server? Since that was changed, you may want to update this.
First, thanks for your responses. Now, I tried something else. I fired up my laptop with the same version of Thunderbird (91.3.2 (32 bit)) and sent myself an email. It worked just fine. So, my question is; What could possibly be compromised on my desktop?
If I uninstall and re-install Thunderbird will I lose all my data? I have lots of business emails from several years back. Any thoughts?

The problem is solved. I removed the Spam assassin from the filters folder and it seemed to take care of it. My emails are being delivered again. It must have had something to do with the fact that my account was being used for spamming.
