how to move contents of a thunderbird address book to the personal address book

In moving to a new computer, I now have two personal address books. One is empty, the second is full of lists and contacts. I have made the second one the default. how can I make one address book out of the two books?

Look in File Explorer when TB is not running. In your profile, is there an abook.sqlite and an abook-1.sqlite? If so, first COPY both to a safe place to avoid loss. Then, delete abook.sqlite and rename abook-1.sqlite to abook.sqlite and then start TB and see if that fixed it. It may still show the second addressbook, but can be deleted.
